SanDisk pSSD solid state drive delivers all the benefits of flash to these small computing netbooks at a fraction of the cost, size and weight of the hard disk drive (HDD).

Cost Effective: pSSD™ solid state drive lets you purchase just the right amount of storage (4GB, 8GB, 16GB) packed inside a memory device that is one-tenth the weight of the 1.8” HDD. SanDisk’s field proven, cost-effective multi-level cell (MLC) NAND flash technology offers competitive pricing for these inexpensive Internet devices.

Rugged and Reliable: With no mechanical moving parts, pSSD solid state drive effectively serves the mobility needs of network computers for children and adults alike. Our patented flash management ensures top data reliability using dynamic and static wear-leveling, and robust error detection and correction code (EDC/ECC).

Fast: An advanced controller that represents the best of the company’s years of parallel ATA (PATA) expertise provides sustained read speed as high as 40MB/sec and a sustained write speed of up to 17MB/sec.*

Standard Low Power Interface and Form Factor: The standard parallel ATA (PATA) interface enables efficient power consumption, helping to extend the battery life. A standard 1.8” HDD ZIF connector makes integration convenient.
